Led Zeppelin goes Digital

Led Zeppelin will release Mothership in less than a month. The collection has 24 tracks of the best known songs. The 3 remaining members of Led Zeppelin selected the tracks.

Now Led Zeppelin has some more good news for fans. For the first time you can now purchase Led Zeppelin digital music from iTunes. Also available are Ringtones through Verizon. Getting up to speed with the digital age there is also a Myspace page and YouTube Channel.

Fans who pre-order “The Complete Led Zeppelin” or “Mothership” will be automatically entered to win the chance to see the band’s reunion performance at London’s O2 Arena on November 26 as part of the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute. The winners will receive two tickets to the show, round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations.*

Arlington Guitar Show

I found some cool guitar links from my buddy Cary’s blog Electric Guitar Review

www.texasguitarshows.com

The Arlington Guitar Show just happened last weekend in Arlington, Texas. I didn’t get to go because I was moving (again) but these shows always make the musician in me just drool over the thousands of awesome guitars, amps and accessories on display.

Another cool guitar source, especially for the collector, is

Puddle of Mudd - Famous

On October 9th, Puddle of Mudd released their new CD Famous, which is the follow up to Life on Display. Famous is the 3rd release from this intense band. Come Clean was the 2001 debut that sold over 5 million copies and several radio hits (including “Blurry”, the most played song of 2002).

This CD continues their excellent craftsmanship at songwriting while maintaining a sense of intensity that so many others seem to lose. The vocals are once again a highlight of their sound.

“It’s about passion and writing music that connects with other people and somehow heals them. I really want to try to crawl under peoples’ skin and at the same time make some kick-ass rock ‘n roll music,” Source : Wesley Scantlin

Puddle of Mudd have released webisodes about their life on the road and they are available on their official website @ http://puddleofmudd.com

You can also check out Puddle of Mudd at their MySpace page http://www.myspace.com/puddleofmudd.

And of course you can purchase Famous at Amazon.com
