Happy Birthday Mike Rutherford

Guitarist and bassist Mike Rutherford (born in 1950) celebrates a birthday today.

He’s had quite a career with Genesis (currently on tour) and with Mike & the Mechanics.

I had the pleasure of meeting him at a WEA convention one year, and he is every bit the tall British gentleman. Very talented too; I’ve heard he can play the bass notes with his foot on a special bass pedal while playing guitar. Amazing!
