“Nobody Knows You When You’re Down and Out” was originally sung by Bessie Smith, and has been covered by a great many artists including Nina Simone and Eric Clapton.

But I’ve never heard this version by the Spencer Davis Group until now. The treatment Steve Winwood gives the song in this video almost reminds me of a Ray Charles feel.
