Andrew Gold 1951-2011
Singer, songwriter and musician Andrew Gold passed away last Friday June 3rd at age 59 from a heart attack.
His biggest hits include “Lonely Boy,” “Thank You for Being a Friend” and “Never Let Her Slip Away.” He also sang “Final Frontier,” the theme song for the TV show Mad About You, starring Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt.
Andrew Gold was also a prolific multi-instrumentalist, producer and film composer. He’s recorded and toured with Linda Ronstadt, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, John Lennon, Brian Wilson, Don Henley, and produced hits for many rock, pop and country stars.
