Celebrate the Life & Music of George Harrison

Celebrate the life and music of George Harrison on his birthday, February 25th.

His website GeorgeHarrison.com will be streaming the entire Concert for George, which originally broadcast on November 29, 2002.

It’s a free 24-hour event that will be streaming all day on February 25th in celebration of George’s life and music.

Here’s a great performance of one of my favorite Harrisongs “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.”

From the Prince’s Trust concert series, what a fabulous line up on stage together!

I highly reccommend the Concert for George on DVD. The tribute concert was filmed in HD before a sold-out audience at London’s Royal Albert Hall, just a year after George’s passing on November 29th, 2001.

It’s truly a moving musical tribute to the Dark Horse, featuring Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Billy Preston, Ravi Shankar, Jeff Lynne, Jools Holland, Gary Brooker, Jim Capaldi, Ray Cooper, Jim Horn, Jim Keltner, Albert Lee, Andy Fairweather Low, Henry Spinetti, Chris Stainton and Klaus Voormann.

Plus hysterical performances from the Monty Python group, featuring Eric Idle, Michael Palin, Terry Gilliam and Neil Innes.

Many blessings and good vibes to Dhani and Olivia Harrison in honor of George’s 68th birthday!
