Happy Birthday Jimmy Page
Happy Birthday to Jimmy Page, one of my favorite guitarists. He’s got the dream career resume…studio sideman, Yardbirds, Led Zeppelin, solo career, record producer and guitar collector.
Here’s a great video of what I’d call a dream tour…Jimmy Page playing his favorite Les Paul with the Black Crowes covering Zeppelin’s “Ten Years Gone.”

Rolling Stone magazine reports that the much-buzzed-about tour plans of Led Zeppelin with a new-as-yet-un-named-singer are off. Some auditions were held, and no one worked out. No tour. OK, fine. I’d rather remember Zeppelin as they were, with my favorite drummer, Bonzo keeping time. Kudos to his son Jason Bonham for the reunion concert, but no one can ever replace John Bonham.
