Peter Frampton
Happy Birthday to guitarist, singer, and producer Peter Frampton, born April 22, 1950.
Frampton founded Humble Pie with Steve Marriott of The Small Faces in 1969. He recorded his second solo album 1973′s Frampton’s Camel, in New York at Jimi Hendrix’s Electric Lady Studios.
Frampton Comes Alive! sold over 16 million copies and became the top selling album of 1976. His Fingerprints album won a Grammy Award in 2007 for Best Pop Instrumental Album.
Peter Frampton used Bob Heil’s Talk Box on “Do You Feel Like We Do” and “Show Me the Way,” and his Frampton Comes Alive tour. Bob Heil’s first Talk Box was featured on Joe Walsh’s “Rocky Mountain Way” in 1973. The Talk Box followed the WahWah pedal in the 70′s as an important tool used in a guitarist’s gig bag.
Peter Frampton also sells his own line of custom designed Framptone guitar products.
Frampton’s new album ‘Thank You Mr Churchill’ will be available April 27th on CD and vinyl LP.

Peter Frampton is co-headlining with Yes for a 25 city national tour in June and July. Frampton and Yes played stadium shows together in 1976.
Frampton was scheduled to play at a pre-race concert at Texas Motor Speedway last Sunday, but the show was cancelled due to rain.
