Ron Asheton, a founding member of the Stooges, has died at age 60. He played guitar and bass in the Stooges, along with his brother Scott on drums, frontman Iggy Pop, and original bassist Dave Alexander. The Stooges last album, The Weirdness, was released in 2007, 40 years after the band first formed in 1967. mtv.com has the news
