Ray Davies at Meltdown 2011
Ray Davies will be performing at the Meltdown 2011 music festival in London this summer, along with Monty Pythons Terry Jones and Michael Palin, and the Fugs and Madness.
Davies will play two performances and also serve as festival curator; with one set featuring songs from his old band The Kinks, and another with some of his solo material, along with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Crouch End Chorus.
The festival will also feature some of the original stars from the iconic sixties pop TV show Ready Steady Go! That’s the same show that first aired The Kinks’ “You Really Got Me” in the 60′s.
