Ray Davies Collaborations Album due in November

Ray Davies has been involved in some really interesting projects this year, including European performances with a full choir and orchestra, and an acoustic two-piece showcase tour in the U.S. that highlighted his songwriting over the past 40 years. Plus he’s appeared at many of the music festivals like Glastonbury.

Ray Davies’ forthcoming new album features some great collaborations…most notably the Kinks “Better Things” recorded with Bruce Springsteen and “Celluloid Heroes” with Bon Jovi.

Davies also recorded upcoming tracks with Alex Chilton (of Big Star and the Box Tops,) Lucinda Williams, Spoon, Smashing Pumpkins singer Billy Corgan, and Frank Black from the Pixies.

Universal is working on re-releases of the Kinks back catalog albums from the 70s and 80s, including Arthur and Something Else, some with new mixes.

The official Facebook page for Ray Davies has information on his new album, which will be available in early November.
