Record Store Day Celebrates Art of Music

It’s Record Store Day!

The concept was founded in 2007 as a celebration of the art of music. Over 700 independent record stores in the U.S. and hundreds of international stores celebrate every third Saturday in April, with special vinyl and CD releases.

Enter to win a sweepstakes for CDs, LPs and a Sony USB Turntable at touchtunes.com/

There’s also a Record Store Day pop-up store at the Coachella Music Festival with Zia Records!

Hundreds of artists and bands around the world make special in-store appearances and some perform an intimate show for customers. Some special releases this year include…a John Lennon 7-inch single box set, Them Crooked Vultures 10-inch Picture Disc, and 7-inch singles from The Doors People Are Strange movie.

We’re especially excited about the new Jeff Beck album ‘Emotion & Commotion.’ If you’re lucky you might even capture a limited edition vinyl 12-inch from Rhino Records.

Warner Brothers also has the Flaming Lips, Stardeath & White Dwarfs performing ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ on exclusive 12-inch seafoam green vinyl. CD goes on sale May 4th!

Go shop for great music at your local record store today! There’s a list of participating stores at recordstoreday.com/

Very informative text. I’ve found your blog via Yahoo and I’m really happy about the information you provide in your articles. Btw your sites layout is really broken on the Chrome browser. Would be really great if you could fix that. Anyhow keep up the good work!
