Ringo Starr at 70

Ringo Starr celebrated his 70th birthday today, July 7th.

He was known as the “oldest Beatle,” and by the time he joined the group, he was a already a popular drummer around Liverpool.

Ringo talked with ABC’s Diane Sawyer about his remarkable life, as recorded in this video.

Ringo is back out on the road with his All-Starr Band. The Fox Business Network also did a recent interview.

He said all he wants for his birthday is “peace & love.”
