Ringo’s Starr on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame

Ringo finally has his own Starr on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. rollingstone.com/rockdaily posted about it.

Ringo has released 15 studio solo albums beginning with 1970′s Sentimental Journey. He also has 10 live albums, 5 compilation albums, 26 singles, and a children’s TV series, Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends, to his credit. Plus he has appeared in 16 feature films, not including rock documentaries like The Beatles Anthology.

And he has achieved all this after his success with The Beatles! So I’m really pleased to see him receive this latest award.

Ringo’s new album Y Not was just released on January 12th. Ringo and Paul McCartney duet on the first single, “Walk With You.” McCartney also plays bass on “Peace Dream.” Other guest artists on the album include Joe Walsh, Dave Stewart, Benmont Tench, Don Was, Edgar Winter, Ben Harper, Joss Stone and Richard Marx.

Ringo and his All-Starr Band will be touring this summer with Rick Derringer, Edgar Winter, Gary Wright and Gregg Bissonette. If you get a chance to see ‘em, a splendid time is guaranteed for all.
