Man, it’s almost impossible to keep up with almost 1,700 artists and bands during the huge South By SouthWest music conference going on in Austin this weekend. But I found a pretty cool website that attempts to do just that.

I think the last time I saw B-Rich was on Season 4 of The Wire when they were in Hamsterdam. Don’t even ask me how this song popped up as a topic of discussion. Key ingredients to this joint were the handclaps & a recognizable showtune making it immediately catchy. We knock the Rocko’s & such of today, but “music back then” had its fair share of one-hit wonders & gimmicky tracks that caught fire. I would take one of those “8O Dimes” tees right about now though. The lovely French-Tunisian-Israeli songstress Yael Naim (ah, yes -- from that commercial ... aaand now you're singing it all day) stopped in at the Frontstage Studios in France at the beginning of this year for an absolutely charming, lighthearted set of acoustic tunes.
