Man, it’s almost impossible to keep up with almost 1,700 artists and bands during the huge South By SouthWest music conference going on in Austin this weekend. But I found a pretty cool website that attempts to do just that.
It’s called imeem’s ultimate guide to SXSW, at sxsw.imeem.com. Check out their day by [...]

Texas Longhorns 45 — Oklahoma Land Thieves 35 Posted by Robbie Cooper on October 11th, 2008 | Trackback This year’s Red River Shootout (or “Rivalry” if you’re afraid of the PC police) is one for the ages, and an instant classic. #1 Oklahoma vs #5 Texas. And hardly anybody gave the Longhorns a chance. But what their doubters didn’t realize was how much heart this team has — and how much of a difference new Defensive Coordinator Will Muschamp has made. Sam Bradford will likely win the Heism
Howdy all- Just got back from Red's indoor range in Pflugerville, TX. I was pretty impressed with the whole setup. I did notice that they are charging $700 for CPO sigs, that are normally 500... friggin insane. The prices for the range were a little steep at $14/hr. Is is normally that hot in there? Overall, I liked the place but I think Red's is a little too rich for my blood. I did enjoy the professionalism of the crew running the place. The RSO was watching newer shooters like a hawk and
ESPN's College Gameday hopes to head to Austin for Saturday's Texas-Missouri game. The only thing it's waiting on to make it official is a Missouri victory over Oklahoma State tonight. Surely, Texas fans can't wait to thank Lee Corso for his astute pick of Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry. And you have to believe that ABC would pick up a meeting of undefeated Texas and undefeated Missouri for a prime time broadcast.
Some Texas Optimism for Tech Startups From GigaOM, popular since 20 hours I live in Texas, where during the tech bubble folks were walking around saying that it was nothing compared to the real estate crisis of the late 80s. So now seemed like a good time to chat with Austin Ventures, [...]Read more» Popular articles from GigaOM
Let's face it: The Texas defense played good enough to win but it didn't exactly hog tie Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford. He threw for 387 yards and five touchdowns. Yes the UT defense intercepted two passes but Bradford did set an OU-UT record for yards in a game. Which brings us to Chase Daniel, the Missouri quarterback scheduled to play against Texas next week. Might Daniel, the Southlake Carroll-ex, be a little more motivated to play against Longhorns seeing as Mack Brown spurned all of

Where does your city place as the best for singles? The Best Cities For Singles Michael Noer For the first time ever, Atlanta tops our list of the best cities for singles. The capital of Georgia and home of Coca-Cola earns the top slot because of its hopping nightlife, relatively high number of singles and sizzling job growth. To those who know “Hotlanta,” the ranking should come as no surprise. In the eight years that we have been ranking America’s largest urban areas in terms of t

So in the past few days, people have been searching for the ancient KFP post. I have always said I would rewrite it, but my ideas on seduction have evolved since I posted that over a year ago. So I will leave you with this post which will at least get you talking about sex, and seeing an escalation to it. In fact it couldn’t come at a better time. I have been hanging out with a bunch of PUAs all over from Atlanta to Dallas, to Austin, to San Diego, to Orange County, to LA, and now in Las Vegas,

Here's some good economic news that got lost in last week's market tumult: Gasoline prices are lower. In some areas, including some Austin suburbs, you can get a gallon of gas for less than $3. But earlier this year, when pump prices were well above $4, the IRS provided a break for folks who must drive to do their business. The standard mileage deduction was increased. Vehicular business travel conducted since July 1 (and through December) can be deducted at 58.5 cents per mile. Business
