$59,750.00 was the winning bid for this very famous set of autographs from all four of The Beatles, during their visit with Elvis on August 27th, 1965.
The auction was held on April 5th at Heritage Auction Galleries in Dallas. I was talking to my friend at FansOnTheRun about what a big deal it is [...]
Player Name: Duke Snider Player’s Current Team: Brooklyn / Los Angeles Dodgers Player’s Current Address: c/o 3037 Lakemont Dr.,Fallbrook, CA, 92028 Date Sent out: 9/22/08 Date Returned: 9/29/08 (7 days) Why go after this autograph: It’s the Duke, I had to go after a living legend. Now here is what I have to ask about the Silver Fox. When looking at his statistics I don’t see anything that statistically stands him out enough to get into the Hall of Fame. He played for 18 seasons and

Photo by Justin Campbell/BuzzFoto.com I’ve never understood the allure of shows like Law & Order: SVU but as long as my man Ice T has a paycheck I can’t complain (his wife Coco seems a little high-maintenance so I’m sure every penny counts, ha ha!). Photogs caught a shot of him growling but he was actually really nice and stopped to give fans some autographs. Technorati Tags: Ice T,Law and Order, rappers, hip hop music Share This
Mark Turgeon Autograph Biography Posted in October 11th, 2008 by Mark Turgeon in Hobbies by Mark Turgeon My first autograph was from Dave Winfield of the New York Yankees. I was eight years old. I had never met anyone famous before and after that day, Dave felt like a hero to me. Collecting sports cards was one thing but to actually get them signed was another. I have always played sports my whole life and as a kid, I loved watching all kinds of sports: Red Sox, Mets, Yankees, Bruins, Rangers

Former Wildcat LB extraordinaire will be signing autographs tomorrow during halftime at Walker Terrace. The Cats will also be honoring the 1948 Rose Bowl team at the game. Thanks to all who submitted on campus accounts in the comments section and via email! Let's hope the on campus buzz carries over into the stands with a great walk-up from Chicago fans sampling the 5-0 Cats.
(From now through the end of the campaign next week, I’ll be with the Liberal tour. Regular reports should appear here irregularly.) “Alors,” he said. “Alors!” the crowd called back. “Bonsoir tout le monde,” he continued. “Bonsoir tout le monde!” they cheered. Jean Chretien had only just begun. A few caveats. The former prime minister’s popularity is generally over-stated. In 1993, he won his first mandate with 41.2% of the vote. Four years later, 38.5%. Three years after that, 40.9%. F
Good is probably better than perfection anyway CONCORD, N.C. - I can’t go into my e-mail box without somebody telling me how many fans NASCAR is losing these days. But then, I go places and I see fans like the ones I saw Friday morning at Joe Gibbs Racing and I have to wonder what they’re talking about. The first people in line at the annual fan fest to get wristbands for autographs had been there since 10:45 Wednesday night. They wanted Tony Stewart’s autograph, and even Stewart himself t
Luke Walton has been teased by his teammates every now and then for being a “pretty boy” that the ladies drool over. Even Brittney Spears was once rumored to be interesting in dating the young forward. So while Walton may have no difficulty in dealing with the women, recent reports have indicated that one certain female may be giving him some trouble. According to the Orange County Register, an obsessed fan was apparently following Walton around Los Angeles over the past year, and Luke told Kev

Though his adoration at times has been touted as slightly unrealistic, it has given females around the world a reason to stand up and say "I deserve to be treated bette

by Mark Turgeon I was eight years old, when I first received my first autograph ever by Dave Winfield of the New York Yankees. As a kid I collected sports cards from baseball, football, hockey and basketball, but to get them signed by the athlete was another thing. I always enjoyed all sports from playing them and watching them on TV. I enjoy the sport of hockey the most and on my favorite team the Hartford Whalers. My official autograph collecting days started in Hartford, CT. I was a hardcor
Happy Weekend, Dear Readers! Someone is about to cause quite a stir over here at Morning Coffee. It seems that Jackie is trying to invade our java hut. She’s planning to post over here next Thursday, and I must warn you. She’ll probably bring her teapot and china teacups. Probably serve Earl Grey, or some other such nonsense. But I must admit, I’ve already read her post, and you are in for quite a treat. It is well worth sipping tea for one day. She even offers up spiritual crumpets. I have n

God love these hard-working new artists. Like James Otto. He’s opening a big arena show in the Chicago suburbs for Trace Adkins and Alan Jackson tonight (Oct. 10), and then rushing into the city to perform again at a fundraiser hosted by Chicago Bears kicker Robbie Gould. It has me wondering if it’s because Otto’s just a nice guy? Or because that bond between country stars and professional athletes seriously runs that deep? Even outside the world of NASCAR, there’s always some kind of connecti
The Ironman village had a demo booth where athletes can test run shoes, ride bikes etc. I worked at the Avia booth and was amazed at the size and energy of this whole Kona/Ironman thing. The Avi Lite II seems to be the most poplular for IM racing- its light with plenty of cushioning. I was also surprised at the might of the Triathlon Dollar, despite the world wide economic slump. Just proves again- Triathletes are overachievers, and Ironpeople more than most. Tomorrow is the big day- let the s
I wrote about this back in March after a couple of us headed to a Cubs spring training game in Mesa, Ariz. It's a lot more relevant now that we're in the middle of the NBA preseason, when we're subjected to a month of going-through-the-motions exhibition games. If you look at the Denver Nuggets' schedule, you can get a feel for just how numbing the preseason can be. The Nuggets will play an outdoor game in Indian Wells, Calif., along with games in Syracuse, N.Y., Bismarck, N.D., and Edmo
