Spooky Tooth - The Last Puff (1970) Spooky Tooth was undergoing a transition when the band recorded ‘The Last Puff’, a fine album first released on the Island label in 1970 and produced by Chris Blackwell. One of the earliest ‘heavy’ bands famed for their soulful gospel sound and solid beat, they had leapt to fame with the release of their first two critically acclaimed albums. Mike Score and A Flock of Seagulls at Ruth Eckerd Hall. It's finally here: The ultimate '80s roadshow -- the 2008 Regeneration Tour -- has landed in Tampa Bay. I'm here, backstage at Clearwater's Ruth Eckerd Hall, to bring to all the juicy scoop -- or at least make a noble effort. The show is set to start at 7 p.m. with Naked Eyes, led by my new best friend Pete Byrne, taking the stage. I'll be handling the introductions and then attempting to literally stage-dive into my chair so I don'

I have no idea if guitar legend Eric Clapton reads C-Notes, but I was definitely surprised to hear Clapton deliver a version of "Layla" that was appropriately plugged in at his first Blossom Music Center appearance in 18 years. Clapton rolled out a set last night that was short on conversation, peppered with the occasional crowd-pleasing hit, and heavy on the blues. And for nearly two hours, the packed Blossom audience ate up every lick of it on a night that weather-wise, was uncharacteristic

After recording “Money And Cigarettes” in 1983, Eric Clapton would not have a stable band for long periods. In late 1983, Eric joined the “ARMS Supergroup”. (ARMS is an acronym for Action Research Into Multiple Sclerosis.) The band played several dates in England and the US to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis research. Also in the band were Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Joe Cocker and Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts of the Rolling Stones. Eric then joined Roger Water’s band (ex-Pink Floyd) for the re
