I was reading another one of the many stories about the Beatles music being available on iTunes, which turned about to be just another rumor. These are all over the internet but Sony music, who owns the licensing, denies any of these stories as true. At the end of this particular story on applesource, [...]
My childhood Christmas memories consist of baking candy cane cookies with my mom, trying to find hidden Christmas presents, and these three album covers: When I listen to these albums (well, CD’s now), I still remember sprinkling the crushed candy cane and sugar mixture over the candy cane cookies when they were fresh from the oven. My Christmas music collection has grown over the years to include nearly 200 artists singing everything from Silent Night to I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.
With Rickey having just been named among the new candidates for the Hall of Fame, we have a treat for you, the greatest 25 stories of Rickey's career. Rickey was quite a character over the course of his long career. Just so everyone knows, these quotes and stories about Rickey come from Fantistic from back in 2006. But in full disclosure, Fantistic didn't compile the quotes. Someone, somewhere out on the blogosphere did. Lou Blasi of Fantistics wrote: "The following stories come from a bl
I have been inspired by many gift guides seen all over the net. I was particularly impressed by Newsarama’s gift guide, which explained to people that comic fans should get their friends copies of Iron Man, because that was a comic book movie people might have heard of, and The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, because your friends might actually forget for five seconds that you love comic books if you don’t give them a comic-themed gift every single time. (Alternately, the gift guide mi
Carrie Underwood and George Strait have both had their tunes turned into lullaby music for babies, and now Vince Gill's getting the same baby make-over. According to Bam, Vince's music will be joining the “Hushabye Baby!” series, which turns popular music into instrumental lullabies for infants. It was announced yesterday that “Hushabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions of Vince Gill” will be released on February 10. Patsy Cline's music is also getting a make-over and will be available the same d

The Evolution Of Karaoke Music Songs - Chart Toppers By Ian Carter | November 29, 2008 by Ian Carter So karaoke songs are just like any other songs right? Well yes and no. They have the same tunes but they are not by the same artists. Karaoke music is never performed by the same artists that prepared it for the vocalists. That’s why you will notice a big difference in the same music being offered by different Karaoke disc jockeys. It all depends on which label they buy. You can find alm
After nearly 70 years of protecting Gotham City against all sorts of colorful, deformed and wonderfully themed villains, pretty boy Bruce Wayne has had enough! Quitter von Wussenstein’s reasons aren’t clear at this point, but writer Grant Morrison told Comic Book Resources (CBR), “This is the end of Bruce Wayne as Batman.” There’s a lot of debate going on in comic book shops around the globe, and we would like to offer our own theories as to what will happen to Bruised Whine. THEORY NUMBER ONE
As I sit here in my bedroom watching the Titans vs. the Lions, yeah what a game, keep in mind that going into today, the Titans were 10-1, while the Lions were 0-11, yeah that’s a good match up, but hay what are you going to do, its Thanksgiving and I am watching Football, sounds good to me, by the way, the score is 36-10 Titans at halftime. Personally I am a New England Patriots fan, when it comes to football for me, I will watch a game if I can and it really doesn’t matter the teams, although
Hit or Myth How Holman, Junior wants to reinvent the financial crisis! © Bryan Zepp Jamieson http://zeppcommentaries.com/11/27/2008 You can always count on right wingers to invent myths. As long as outfits like Murdoch’s Wall Street Journal and Faux News are pumping out their propaganda, I’ll never lack for material to write about. Take, for example, this gem from the WSJ: “Obama Hears a Giant Sucking Sound”. The piece was written by one Holman W. Jenkins, Jr. Just the name tells you that
Stork. Phelps. Romo. So many men have been linked to Carrie Underwood, but this time, she’s really found her soulmate. Elvis Presley. Granted, he’s not living in the here and now. But they are so good together on his Elvis Presley’s Christmas Duets CD. The two sing “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” together. Underwood said singing “with” Presley was very surreal, but that it felt like a good thing to do. “When Priscilla asks you to sing with Elvis, you do it,” she told Entertainment Tonight. She add

There was plenty of nuttiness to be found at the American Music Awards last night, but there are ten individuals who deserve special attention for their exceptionally gaudy efforts. If you’re offended by our choices, remember that those who make the list are famous enough to get to dress like an idiot at a televised awards ceremony. They’re all winners. 10. Rihanna In four years (and three albums), Rihanna has gone from “island nymph” to “sporty teen” to “classy heroine” to “frightening dom
And just who is that other man? Well none other than James Bond. When Brad called to tell his wife, Kimberly, that he had won she told him she had to be quiet. "She whispered that she was in the movies and had the show tiVoed and couldn’t talk," Paisley said. "She was watching the new Bond or something so I guess she was having a
VE and I have agreed to swop blogs for the holiday post. You can find him over at mine, where he’s probably drinking all the beer & putting his feet up on the mantelpiece. Fair nuff. Americans have many holidays in which thanks is given to one group or another. It could be veterans, individuals, some situations in general or just for the fact that you don’t live elsewhere. Being English, we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving. No disrespect. We do have All Scrote’s Day, on which we remember peop
