Activision will have a new version of “Guitar Hero” this summer.
The popular video game will feature Aerosmith, in the new version called “Guitar Hero: Aerosmith.” It will feature about 30 Aerosmith songs, along with tracks from various opening acts for the classic rock band. Activision says the 30 songs will cover the 30 [...]

The end result is a program back on top with goals even higher than those reached in winning last year's NCAA title. Tom Brands returns for his third season as head coach after leading Iowa to its 21st NCAA title, its 32nd Big Ten title, a 21-1 dual record and a perfect
I read a lot of detective fiction from the “golden age” of mystery writing, meaning the era of Dorothy Sayers, Agatha Christie, Margery Allingham, Ngaio Marsh and Josephine Tey. Every now and then I branch out and try to read a mystery from a living author, but I am often disappointed. The mysteries published nowadays tend to be too long, unsolvable by the reader and full of tedious characters. I have tried to read new mysteries that have won awards, thinking that I can let the critics weed
Headline on the New York Times website: “Global Markets Dive in Relentless Selloff.” A British news site says this is Freefall Friday. By 9:30 this morning the NYSE was down more than 460 points. This isn't technically a liveblog in that I didn't post my entries as I wrote them. That's because I was about a half hour behind live action, watching the game on DVR. That's the sort of thing you do when you have kids who don't have the decency to go to bed until after the game starts. But, as always, I assure you that this was not edited to make me sound smarter or clairvoyant or anything. Aside from a quick spellcheck and a very superficial once-over, this was how I was writing it as it happ
I like the new boneyard LP, but I think I like the original one better... anyone know where (besides evilbay) I might be able to pick one up? Thanks, Shane
Oh dear Rudi Johnson, where are you? Sorry, feeling a bit nostalgic about the only season in my lifetime that I could watch the Bengals with a winning record, causally drinking a Budweiser (legally). So in 2007, Rudi Johnson had constant hamstring problems, with a dreadful rush-blocking offensive line, and finished the season with 497 yards rushing; averaging 2.9 yards-per-rush. He got stronger, more fit, more 2005-Rudi and the Bengals cut him to save $3.2 million; in which the Bengals have yet
The most probing questions for Ducks coach Randy Carlyle after Thursday’s morning skate at HP Pavilion had to do with defensive pairings and the makeup of the club’s checking line. What a difference a year makes. When the Ducks opened last season with two games against the Kings in London, surrounding issues included the team’s short summer, Stanley Cup hangover, travel abroad, the absence of star players Scott Niedermayer and Teemu Selanne, and injuries to goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere,
Hot off the internet press. :slash: Here's an excerpt I found interesting: "Have you ever talked guitar with people like Joe Perry and Jimmy Page? I was joking about this recently – whenever I hang out with guitar players, the last thing we want to talk about is guitars. I think guitar players are an interesting breed because we’re all very aware of how many of us there are and we’re also very aware of what the other guys are doing or what their sound is like and blah blah blah. But it

Ah, the beauty of a new NHL season afoot, and what better way to kick it off than with a good ol’ Battle of California (competitive version)? Yeah, I know there were some "counting" games already played in Europe, and Ducks/Sharks is the only game on tonight's schedule without some version of national coverage, but I can’t care. by Joe Perry Having to look everywhere for all your tools and lawn and garden equipment can get frustrating. It's much better to have them stored in one place. It doesn't need to be the garage, which is for your cars or a basement that is not a good place to store anything with gasoline involved. Making an investment in a garden shed that is large enough to house all of your lawn and garden equipment will give you great peace of mind as you remove any dangerous material from your home. This ca

Back again, our buddy Casey from Bringing Hockey Back and the Penguins Analysis Blog has taken the time to break down the West for us. As I feared, my Kings will be at the bottom of the pile. I'm afraid I will have to agree with him on that one (sad face). With the full North American NHL season about to open up later this week, it's about time to continue the predictions and breakdowns. Let's just jump right into the Western Conference.Central Division#1 – Detroit Red Wings – If it was possibl

It seems as though everywhere I go, marketers look at me and ask about Twitter. They bring up the fact that they don't want to know "what everyone is having for breakfast" each day. So they usually ask me why I use Twitter. I've found the best answer is to ask my Twitter community in real-time while I am sitting with them. This happened the other day when a person at another agency asked me the same question. I turned the conversation over to Twitter and received some really great responses. I
