The James Hyman Gallery and Paul McCartney have announced a new exhibition of photographs by Linda McCartney. It’s her first major photo exhibition in the UK, and a labor of love from the McCartney family, mainly Paul and daughter Mary.
Here’s a YouTube video of Paul speaking about the photos, many never seen before.

Question: Which group of children do you think will fare their teen years more easily: children of parents who are financially prosperous, or children of parents who are struggling financially? Surprisingly and paradoxically, the latest research establishes that children from wealthy and affluent homes are at significantly greater risk of developing serious emotional problems precisely because of their privileged circumstances. That is, teens from affluent, well-educated families are less
Like the ones where a "Beatles lost song" is really someone recording The Rutles holding a tape recorder next to their TV set? Or genuine I Am The Walrus outtakes recorded on the shortwave band with a French DJ speaking over half of it? Linda McCartney demos under The Beatles name? For all those, I recommend 'Indian Rope Trick'. I spent twenty pounds on this turkey at a record fair in 1985 and I'm still hurting.
Linda McCartney Food Sales Soar Since the new owners of Linda McCartney Foods, Hain Celestial, have veganized and improved the nutrition value of the Linda McCartney range sales have rocketed. Sales have risen to 10million and 57% in the last 12 weeks alone. Sales have been boosted by the new higher protein hydrogenated fat free meat free sausages and the Linda McCartney soysage rolls. The frozen mince is back in production and Linda McCartney group sales have probably also been boosted by a
Tommy Eisner and Linda Beecroft spent the summer of 2007 in the hottest part of California. The desert has been a muse for many musicians to write some of their best work, and for Brooklyn’s Golden Animals, it has conjured the ghost of the Lizard King himself to inspire their debut record, Free Your Mind. This is in great contrast to the duo’s 2006 Do The Roar! EP, which was more like the Devendra Banhart meets The Beatles take on neo-folk than the bigger, more dynamic sound that they have now.
Long time vegetarian Sir Paul McCartney has an interesting veggie substitute for turkey: “We had all the trimmings but we needed something to simulate the turkey. So Linda made macaroni cheese. It was good, then she let it stand so it went solid and I was able to slice it. It kind of worked so we called it the macaroni turkey.” Yikes, that doesn’t sound too tasty! But if Paul invited me for dinner, I wouldn’t have said no. Source, Photo Source: WENN
Last week I found myself in the complaining mode. I admit it. I’m going to be EXTREMELY busy over the next five weeks. I’m either having company or traveling (or both!) each weekend over these next five weeks. And one week in there my whole week is likely to be wiped out with activities. And you know the stress the holidays can bring anyway… Well, finally the song, “God is so Good” came to my mind and instantly my perspective starting changing. I realized how blessed I truly am!! Just t
This, the fourth Hammer horror film starring Christopher Lee as Count Dracula, is the last solid effort in the franchise. The film charts some interesting thematic territory and features a number of interesting ideas. Unfortunately, the script by John Elder (the pen name of Anthony Hinds) does not weave all of these ideas together into a satisfying whole, and the direction by Peter Sasdy, while competent, lacks the solid sophistication of Terence Fisher (Horror of Dracula) and/or the visual fla
25 November 2008 Music The Vatican media organ, L’Osservatore Romano, observed the feast of Saint Cecilia, virgin, martyr, and patron of music by observing that the Beatles are okay with them. I wonder if the favorite John Lennon quote hit home with anybody: Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink … Jesus was all right but his disciples were thick and ordinary. It’s them twisting it that ruins it for me. Shrinking church … believers who don’t get the real Jesus: complaints that sound
Music legend on his experimental project In an appropriately named public house, The Fire Station (yes, an old fire station), a true master of his chosen art is holding court. We, the assembled, look and listen, barely daring to cough in case a word is missed. Sir Paul McCartney is here to answer questions from the world’s media – there are journalists from across Europe and beyond. Clash is here, too, waiting for our turn to ask the man a question. We’re in good company – much is covered, all

He overcame losing the love of his life and survived a disastrous second marriage. So what continues to torture him? In his most revealing interview yet, Sir Paul McCartney confronts the ghosts of his past. Mark Edmonds Sir Paul McCartney is sitting outside his dressing room, a tent actually, which he shares with his new American girlfriend, Nancy Shevell. It has been erected backstage with its own intimate tea lights, and one hour from now, on this September night, he will perform live bef
This is a post in which I update family (and interested friends) on several unrelated, random goings-on. And I add pictures. (And maybe too many parentheticals?)Lyndsay finally got her hair cut and is happy. It has been a long torturous journey. So many times she has gotten her hair cut, but hated it (though to my fairly distinguished eye it looked exactly the same) She was going to cut it right before going to Youth Conference a few weeks ago, and I told her maybe that wasn't the best idea. She

I’m in Montana this weekend, a state I have never before set foot in until now. A performing songwriter’s work day is neither glorious nor all that laborious, and it can at times be exhausting and tedious, proving that travel makes up 90% of the job, 9% of the time is spent waiting around, while 1% actually involves singing and playing. This was my Friday: - In bed at 10pm the night before. - Wake up at 1am. - Fall asleep (again) at 2am. - Wake up to a 4am alarm clock. - Arrive at the Nash
(Nov. 20) - Madonna and Guy Ritchie have agreed on a divorce settlement that puts to rest contentious custody issues and keeps the bulk, if not all, of the singer’s money out of the film director’s hands, various media outlets in the UK are reporting Thursday. The Daily Mail has learned that the 50-year-old music icon will walk away from the eight-year marriage with her entire $452 million fortune intact and that Ritchie actually waived his right, under English divorce law, to receive as much

by Chuck R Stewart A piano cover is a necessity for any person that loves their piano. It is needed as an extra layer of protection in the home. A lot of pianos are not protected from elements. A non protected piano will easily look worn quicker than a piano that is properly protected by a piano cover. A piano cover will help protect the piano from unwanted damage. It will protect it from liquid spills, dirt, and even household pets. A piano cover is a very smart investment. A piano cover will
