I was reading another one of the many stories about the Beatles music being available on iTunes, which turned about to be just another rumor. These are all over the internet but Sony music, who owns the licensing, denies any of these stories as true. At the end of this particular story on applesource, [...]
Louis Vuitton has picked up another celebrity face for print ads. Earlier this year we saw teh likes of Mikhail Gorbachev, Scarlett Johansson, and 007 Mr. Sean Connery. Now ... Madonna. WWD: MADONNA AND MARC: When Marc Jacobs found himself in a meeting on a recent Monday morning to brainstorm about Louis Vuitton’s next fashion advertising campaign, inspiration struck. “I just blurted out, ‘I think we should do Madonna ,’” said the designer, Vuitton’s creative director, mentioning he’d attended
This is the new Louis Vuitton ad campaign featuring Lady Madonna. Pictures were taken in Los Angeles last month and not in a (fake) French brasserie somewhere in Paris...
I find that if I sit like that in cafes, I tend to get asked to leave. But, more interestingly, I don't think Madonna looks like Madonna at all. I think she looks like Christina Applegate.
Here's a first look at Louis Vuitton's spring ad campaign featuring Madonna! Photographer Steven Meisel (who Madonna has collaborated extensively with) shot her portrait-style with a French feel.
Madonna in provocative pose is to embody the latest collection designed by US stylist Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton, the French luxury house said Thursday. Dressed in little but mesh stockings and head-spinningly high stilettos in the first pictures released, the diva of pop represents the designer's 'vision of the quintessential Parisienne' embodied in his 2009 spring-summer ready-to-wear collection for Louis Vuitton unveiled in October. 'I wanted the campaign to be very bold, very sensual
Via WWD: "When Marc Jacobs found himself in a meeting on a recent Monday morning to brainstorm about Louis Vuitton’s next fashion advertising campaign, inspiration struck. 'I just blurted out, ‘I think we should do Madonna,’' said the designer, Vuitton’s creative director, mentioning he’d attended a concert by the pop icon the night before in Paris. 'I was totally just blown away by it, and moved by her performance, by what she had to say, and her energy.' As the meeting went on, Jacobs tapp
Rivaling the stunning scenery of the spanking, swanking new Mondrian South Beach last night was the crowd--a cornucopia of celebrity in the form of Ivana Trump, not hanging out with her new new man, but instead with publisher Jason Binn, Alex Rodriguez, obviously not with his whatever Madonna and, best of all, Marilyn Manson, who was, according to our spy, "With some chick." We asked if said chick was 12-years-old, but our source was too busy ogling the Marcel Wanders-designed beauty, trying t
Not to be overdramatic, but...I have to say I lost some respect for Madonna with those seven words...yikes. Nothing Madonna says in this interview from Britney Spears: For the Money Record is outright wrong. But in context, I find it strange that Madonna rightfully discerns that it should first be about Britney's spiritual journey and her well-being and her relationship with her kids, but has no problem inviting the OBVIOUSLY still fragile superstar out onto her concert stage to get a
-DAVID Walliams may be seen as a bit of a ladies man, but it seems Madonna is yet to fall for his charms, after the Queen of Pop stood him up. David revealed on The Capital Breakfast Show with Johnny & Lisa: “Matt (Lucas) and I got this invite saying ‘Madonna would like you to come for dinner’. Then we got a call on the day saying ‘Madonna may or may not come to for dinner. She may come for desert.’ So we had to decide whether we just wanted to sit in a restaurant waiting for Madonna to tu
When someone mentions Madonna, the word 'reinvented' is never far away. Personally, I don't buy. Madonna never reinvented herself. Sure, she got a hair-cut some time, and sure, when her pop-stock was at an all-time low (for her at least, which equates to 'merely' selling a coupla million) she made sure she stayed in everyone's minds by literally giving her pound of flesh in a steel-bound, wipe-easy book where she had a ball fuckin' a whole buncha models and celebs. It's the kinda crisis I'd li
The Grammy Award nominations have been announced and Madonna has been nominated for two awards: Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals (For a collaborative performance, with vocals, by artists who do not normally perform together. UK free newspaper the Metro published this article today about Madonna's meeting with the Argentinian President on Tuesday evening.
I watched the Britney documentary the other night (I mean, OF COURSE -- didn't you?), and the most shocking part of it was Madonna's face. I don't know what she's done to herself, but her face is now approximately eight sizes too small for her skull. When she spoke, I was afraid that the whole thing was going to rip open and flap down around her neck in shreds like a popped balloon. It was like she couldn't even open her mouth wide enough to get the words out or she might involuntarily molt.

NOVATO, Calif.--Sports Illustrated magazine called Tim Lincecum "the freak," and for the motion capture specialists at 2K Sports, getting a good computer model of baseball star Tim Lincecum's unique, and violent, pitching motion presented a special challenge. Last month, Lincecum, a diminutive 24-year-old whom you would never pick out of a lineup as a superstar ballplayer, won the National League Cy Young award, given to the league's best pitcher. The same day, the San Francisco Giant found ou
