The Break and Repair Method is the side project of Matchbox Twenty’s Paul Doucette, but put whatever you know or think of Matchbox20 out of your mind. The Break and Repair Method just released their debut album Milk the Bee that is full of beautiful piano driven melodies and is lyrically dark and introspective. They’ve coined the term “pop depression” to describe their sound. The Break and Repair Method is headed out on tour with Matt Nathanson and Jessie Baylin, and till you can catch the ban
“You are NEVER going to believe what just happened” I squealed into the phone to my best friend. I didn’t even believe that it had just happened but it did! As I was driving home, I had called into the radio for a contest on a whim. I, to this day, have no idea why I did it but I did and they actually picked up! “Caller 9, you’re on the air. Are you ready for your question?” The voice was coming THROUGH MY PHONE. The question was too easy. I didn’t believe the words that came out of his mouth.
Rob Thomas hasn’t kept it a secret that he’ll do almost anything to help an animal in need, and it appears that this time, it’s horses he’s desperately trying to save. Animal shelter Pets Alive has two badly injured equines that were brought in and it seems that now their neglectful owners are trying to get them back. The matchbox twenty frontman explained to the New York Daily News that he’s distraught about this and has even offered ten-thousand dollars to buy the animals, but his offer was

Adopt-A-Fox: Lisa's Turn Move back, ladies, and get ready to dance. I'm turning the blog into a mosh pit this morning. Because, let's face it. There's nothing sexier than a man with a microphone. Or a guitar. Or a drum set. Besides, they're always there for you, even when you have PMS that would chase off Gandhi. Your music men can croon lovingly in your ears or growl, scream and roar right beside you. I have scattered taste in music. I'm pretty much an omnivore, with the exception of Countr

It's been a long time since he last addition to the Apocalypse Mix. I haven't had much inspiration, and I've been lacking a sense of humor about the ongoing money mess. Frankly, it's been easier to get angry or depressed than snarky and feisty.BUT! You can't keep a good woman down, and I'm back with the latest sarcastic musical response to Paulson's Follies and the general GLOBALFINANCIALDOOMOMGWE'REALLGOINGTODIE.I give you the oh-so-aptly named "Supermassive Black Hole" by Muse. Not too long ago, I did an interview with Book Binge, one of my favorite places to go to find well written reviews and new books to buy. Since I get a lot of questions asked of me that to my shame I don’t seem to have time to answer, I thought I’d post the interview in its entirety and indirectly answer some of the questions you’ve all asked me lately. Book Binge: Can you tell us a bit about your first sale? What was it like getting that phone call? Jill Shalvis: First sale call came ten year

When I was fifteen, I fell in love with a girl who already had a boyfriend. She was on the verge of breaking up with him, and for a while she left him for me. Then he cried and begged her to take him back. I felt what it was like to be on his side when she left me. I learnt a lesson that day, don’t fall for a girl who’d leave her boyfriend for you. I used to listen to Third Eye Blind, Matchbox Twenty and Collective Soul. 90s alternative rock is a great way to wean off boy bands and pop music.
