thelondonpaper finds new Michael Jackson

A SCHOOLBOY has landed a starring role in a new West End musical about Michael Jackson - after hearing about it in thelondonpaper. Kieron Alleyne, 13, who says Jacko is his "idol", was told about our story last month about the new show, Thriller Live!, and attended open auditions to cast its young lead. After queuing for hours at Shaftesbury Avenue's Lyric Theatre, he beat hundreds of hopefuls to land the part of the young Jacko. Now he will make his stage debut at the Lyric in the New Year

My friend (and colleague) Ernie Garcia scored an invite to the opening gala at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Annex in Soho last night, lucky duck! Here’s his account of the event and the new spot, which I can’t wait to get out to! Last night’s opening gala at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Annex in Soho featured circus food, rockin’ hair makeovers and music stars’ paraphernalia enshrined behind glass. Michael Jackson was supposed to go to the UK to speak at London’s High Court when his legal advisers called him off. Jacko’s legal party has apparently reached a settlement in principle with Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Khalifa over his lawsuit which alleged that Jacko reneged on a contract.
