Classic Album: Plastic Ono Band John Lennon - DVD Release Date: April 29th
This DVD release is the latest addition to the ‘Classic Albums’ series that documents the making of important pop and rock albums.
This is John Lennon’s first solo album (from the studio) after leaving The Beatles. It was heavily influenced by John and Yoko’s primal scream therapy at the time. This DVD includes interviews of Yoko Ono, Ringo Starr and Klaus Voorman. The album was originally released in late 1970, with Ringo on drums and Klaus on bass.

《Plastic Ono Band》可以看作是John Lennon的一张自转性质的专集,专集以《Mother》开篇,在一声声悠远的教堂钟声后,传来Lennon略带忧郁的声音,歌词里充满着对童年失去父母的哀伤与愤懑:mother,you had me,but i never had you,i wanted you,you didn’t want me,so i,i just got to tell you,goodbye,goodbye……专集最后一首又是《My Mummy’s Dead》:My mummy’s dead,I can’t get it through my head,Though it’s been so many years。。。。。。可见幼年时期的失父伤母,对John Lennon一直是个无法摆脱的阴影。1970年,John Lennon应该是刚刚脱离The Beatles
Too Much To Think AboutToo Much To Think About May 23rd, 2008 Finally Friday arrives in all it’s glory. A bit cool outside as compared to previous Memorial Day weekends. Well at least as much as I can remember. Last night was last night, 4 pints of Guinness and I was done. A pleasant buzz definitely and a strong urge to have a cigarette, but I resisted. Alcohol and smoking seem to go hand in hand, and by seem, I mean that they belong together, at least in my squared circle. Bill came home again last night, 4 nigh

Humans always have heroes that they can aspire to, emulate or even mimic. Its just natural human progression, that is, unless you thought Charles Manson was something Christ like. The heroes that i admired from a young age were Alan Alda of M*A*S*H, he, who taught me humour and how to be empathetic and the other was John Lennon he, who tau

[10] The Beatles, ‘Something’/’Come Together’ It’s 7.21 in the morning and Junior is wearing pink fairy wings and carrying a plastic wand that makes a “magical” sound when you bash it against the furniture. ‘Something’ has, well, something of the fairy dust about it, representing the blossoming of George Harrison’s songwriting shortly before it came to full fruition on cruelly overlooked triple solo album All Things Must Pass. It was written for his then-beloved Patti Boyd – who would shortly hand him in for Eric Clapton when he wrote the
Review: “The U.S. vs. John Lennon” The U.S. vs. John Lennon (2006) is a documentary that follows Lennon’s deportation hearing which began in 1972 and dragged out until June of 1976 when John defeated the forces of evil (the Nixon administration) and was given his Green Card. The film gives background on Lennon’s childhood and teenage years when John was “always in trouble.” Lennon said he was “kicked out of every school he ever went to.” He had an overall disdain for authority figures even then, especially after his mother
