Digidesign is presenting a five-part Live Sound Webinar series.  The second part was just hosted by Live Sound Manager Robert Scovill, who gave a 30 minute presentation that covered how to determine which Pro Tools recording system to use for various live sound applications.

I found another cool audio and recording website.  Mix Magazine at mixonline.com.
Their homepage says the following…
Mix is the world’s leading magazine for the professional recording and sound production technology industry. Mix covers a wide range of topics including: recording, live sound and production, broadcast production, audio for film and video, and music technology.

TAXI

TAXI bills itself as the world’s leading independent A&R company. They came highly recommended to me from a friend. So I looked over their website and got a good idea of what they’re all about. If you’re a songwriter or composer looking to sell your music, get a record deal or find other distribution outlets for your music, then TAXI is your vehicle.
But with all the layoffs in the music industry and unrest at the record labels, even a recording contract at a major label seems pretty risky at this point. I think I’d seriously consider digital distribution online with a strong indie, and TAXI seems to fit the bill.
