The 31st Annual Dallas International Guitar Festival and MusicFest was awesome, as usual. We saw some new things this year, like Trillium’s new tube guitar amps. The design and cabinetry caught my eye, and their great tone caught my ears, so I stopped to chat. Scott told me this is Trillium’s [...]

And all of these go hand in hand with my favorite sport for fall (did you guess it was fishing? Ok, that too) I am talking about hiking. It's the time when all the creepy crawlers that I worry about (ticks and snakes) go into hibernation and I can walk through the woods without being worried I might have personal interaction with one of these nasties. On

Wind and Worms: Renewable energy is much easier for most people to embrace when it doesn't require change. That's become a particular problem when it comes to Canadians and wind energy. Activists now decry windmills with a fervour once reserved for nuclear plants. To some, it seems strange to waste time railing against a power source that does not generate greenhouse gases, is relatively quick to construct and can serve as a powerful symbol of a community's environmental convictions. Smaller waves and the absence of corrosive saltwater make the Great Lakes an attractive alternative to ocean developments along the East Coast, where several states are in a race to erect the maiden fleet of offshore windmills in North America. Design: Client: Date: It’s a far stretch, but I’m hoping to find out if anyone knows who made this candle. When Kevin Rudd successfully ran against John Howard it was widely claimed there was very little difference between them. Both were said to be in the mainstream and the distinctions between them one of style rather than fundamentals. But if there were no difference there would have been no point in the elections. Today, one of those possible differences may have emerged. The Herald Sun reports that “Australia will join China in implementing mandatory censoring of the Internet under plans put fo
