Triple DVD Set Captures Genesis Reunion

June 10th, 2008
By Mike

I can’t recall seeing any concert event this big since Woodstock, which was “half a million strong,” remember? Well, 500,000 fans saw Genesis play a free, open-air concert in Rome’s historic Circo Massimo last July. It was at the end of their European tour after playing to one-and-a-half million fans.
The entire two-and-a-half-hour concert is captured on a new 3-DVD set that’s available today. “When In Rome 2007″ contains the hits like “Land Of Confusion” and “Mama,” plus the good ol’ classic Genesis songs like “Los Endos,” “Carpet Crawlers” and “Ripples.” There’s also photo galleries, deleted scenes and a documentary look behind the scenes at life on the road with Genesis, who hasn’t toured in 15 years.

Genesis When In Rome 2007

June 9th, 2008
By Mike

The new Genesis DVD set “When In Rome 2007″ will finally be available tomorrow, June 10th! This triple DVD set comes in a deluxe digipak with a 28-page booklet that chronicles the band’s sold out European tour and triumphant 15-year reunion.
Genesis has been one of my favorite classic “prog-rock” bands ever since their “Lamb Laid Down On Broadway.” It’s totally awesome to see and hear Tony Banks, Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford back on stage with Chester Thompson on drums and Daryl Stuermer on guitar.

YouTube Music Channels

January 16th, 2008

YouTube music video channels are a growing trend among artists. It’s something we’ve begun to take notice of, as we’ve come across more and more artists, bands and groups making their presence known online with their videos.
Not only musicians are taking advantage of this medium, but the major record labels and independents are also using YouTube are alternate video distribution channels. One of the cool features I like about the YouTube subscriptions are the email updates with links to the latest added videos.
In an interesting twist to this ongoing online video saga, TV’s are now being designed with internet content in mind. That could put online video sites like YouTube and GoogleVideo in even stronger positions for the future, don’t you think?
Here’s a short article from smartmoney.com about the new TV’s.
I searched the Musician Channels on YouTube and found the following
Music Video Site Sets:
JohnMellencampDotCom
PaulMcCartney
SherylCrowVideos
YanniVideos
EMI America Records
EMI Records UK
HollywoodRecords
UniversalMusicGroup
WarnerBrosRecords
Please leave a comment if you find we’ve missed any…and Thanks for reading us!
