Trick or Tweet

Since 2009 was such a big year for Twitter, I’ve entitled my Halloween post Trick or Tweet.

I like to compile custom play lists with my favorite Halloween tracks, so I hope you like the monster mix.

There are some classic cult films that just naturally go with this dark holiday, so I just have to include these two…”The Time Warp” from Rocky Horror Picture Show, and “Heavy Metal (Takin’ A Ride)” by Don Felder, from one of my favorite midnight movies, Heavy Metal. Both films have great soundtrack albums.

Then there’s the perennial favorites you hear every year; “The Monster Mash” by Bobby “Boris” Pickett and “Werewolves of London” by Warren Zevon.

TV Themes: The Twilight Zone, Batman, The Outer Limits, The Addams Family, and The Munsters.

Classic Metal with an edge, like “Season of the Witch” by Vanilla Fudge, “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida” by Iron Butterfly, and “Bridge of Sighs” by Robin Trower.

Classic Rock tracks by Jimi Hendrix “Fire”, Van Halen “Runnin’ With the Devil”, “Knife-Edge” by Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Cream’s “Strange Brew”, Alice Cooper’s “Feed My Frankenstein”, and a great segway from Santana’s Abraxas album “Singing Winds Crying Beasts” with “Black Magic Woman/Gypsy Queen.”

So have a happy and safe Halloween and All Saints Day!
